DBL-EAGLE CONTAINERS wants every consumer of our products to have accurate information about containers prior to making a decision about purchase. Read through these frequently asked questions and call us for a more comprehensive discussion of storage containers.
Q: What is a grade "A" container?
A: Be careful of vendors that use this "quality" ploy. It really means nothing. Industry standard terminology is "new", "cargo worthy", "wind-water tight", and "as-is". If a vendor uses the term "grade A" you should be getting at least a "cargo-worthy" unit.
Q: Why all the rust spots on used containers?
A: Used containers have been used for several years to transport goods overseas. The air and salt water combine to create surface rusting. Corten steel is designed to blister. DBL-EAGLE CONTAINERS does not hide this surface rusting under paint like many competetors. We will provide you with easy to follow instructions on how to remedy this rusting.
Q: Can the unit simply sit on the ground?
A: Technically, yes. The container has a channel steel framework and the wood floor sits six inches above ground level. The key is that the unit must be level and squared so that the doors open and shut properly.
Q: Do I have to get a permit to place a container on my property?
A: Usually, no. However, you should check with the city or county of the delivery site if you have concerns or questions. There are areas of the country that do require permits or have other requirements.
Q: Can I order any color I want?
A: DBL-EAGLE CONTAINERS will make your color preferences known to yard personnel and we will make an effort to accomodate your request. However, we cannot guarantee color because containers are stacked in yards by size and depot lift operators simply load the top unit off the stack onto the delivery truck.
